Status and Distribution of the “Rare” (R) tree species, Anogeissus Sericea Brandis Var. Nummularia Ex. Duthie. In the forest of North Gujarat Region (NGR), Gujarat, India

The present paper represents the status and distribution of ‘Rare’ tree species, Anogeissus sericea  var.  nummularia  in the forest area of North Gujarat. Major percent of trees were recorded in the tropical thorn forest were nature of the soil is sandy. Further, the plant was influenced by other habitat related parameters and on going threats. Based on the observations region specific conservation measures were recommended.
